A New Day is Mid City Civic Theatre’s inaugural fundraising campaign: a call to our community to help build a bold new model for local theatre. With your support, we can create a space where artists thrive, audiences belong, and creativity takes center stage in the heart of Baton Rouge. Together, we’ll make it a new day, a new model, and a new theatre.
At the same time, we honor the legacy of this beloved theatre while building something new: a creative home that reflects Baton Rouge today. A place where artists are valued, storytelling is centered, and the community can see itself on stage.
A New Day is the campaign that launches this next chapter. Your support helps us sustain the essential operational and programmatic work needed to begin offering workshops, readings, performances, and community programs in the year ahead.
This is not a beginning from scratch. It’s a beginning from strength, history, and possibility.
Help Keep Our Theatre Moving Forward
Each performance begins long before the audience takes its seats. Your support helps cover the creative work, materials, and everyday expenses that bring stories to life and keep our doors open.
Your gift to A New Day supports:
Productions, staged readings, and community events
Civic Conservatory programs for young performers
Rights, royalties, sets, costumes, and props
Technical equipment and production team stipends
Utilities, insurance, and ongoing facility care
Community outreach and audience engagement
As we prepare for our first full season in 2027, your generosity helps us plan ahead, care for our space, and create more opportunities for our community to participate.
A New Day. Every Month.
A small monthly gift can help build something lasting. By giving regularly to A New Day, you provide steady support for the productions, programs, and everyday needs of Mid City Civic Theatre.
That consistency helps us plan ahead, from securing performance rights to purchasing rehearsal supplies and keeping the building ready for the next audience.
Choose an amount that works for you: $10, $25, $50, or any amount each month. Every monthly donor helps create a dependable foundation for our theatre’s future.
Help make a new day possible, every month.
Help Build What Comes Next:
Our return to the stage is just the beginning. With our first full season ahead in 2027, your support helps us build on everything this community has already made possible.
Make a one-time gift or become a monthly donor to A New Day. Every contribution helps sustain a theatre where local artists can create, young performers can grow, and audiences can come together.
Together, we’re building on this theatre’s legacy and making room for all that comes next.
