Eric Elliott

Eric Elliott earned his B.A. from the University of Toledo in December 2003. His work has received honorable mention in the AWP Intro Awards and the William Jay Smith Poetry Prize at Louisiana State University. In 2008, he earned his M.F.A. in Creative Writing from LSU, and in 2011, he published his chapbook, The Graves We Dig.

Since 2009, Eric has served as a Professor of English and Humanities at Baton Rouge Community College. He currently also works as a Faculty Champion for BRCC’s Center for Undergraduate Student Achievement, which focuses on retention initiatives and wraparound support services for low and middle-income students, particularly first-generation college students.

In addition to his academic and literary work, Eric is a landscape and portrait photographer and serves as the Creative Director of Yellow Door Sessions.
